Private Pilates in Zurich — designed around you
If you want to feel stronger, more stable, and more capable in your body, Pilates can help. Pilates builds deep core strength and full-body conditioning that supports everything else you do — for sport, in daily life, and as you age.
Pilates works best when it's built around you: your body, your history, your goals.
That's why every session at ND Pilates is either one-to-one or shared with a trusted partner. If you’re completely new to Pilates or an experienced practitioner looking to go deeper, I give you my undivided attention in every session.
Choose your lesson type at ND Pilates
Every Pilates programme at ND Pilates begins with a full movement assessment, so I can see exactly where you are before you take a single step onto the mat.
Private lessons:
1-to-1 Pilates
This is the most focused, most personalised way to work, and the format at the heart of ND Pilates. Private one-to-one Pilates is the fastest, most effective way to learn correct technique, address specific goals, and build a practice that genuinely changes how you move and feel.
Suitable for:
All levels, all bodies, all goals
Semi-private lessons:
1-to-2 Pilates
Bring a partner, a friend, or a family member and work together. Semi-private sessions are a great option if you and your training partner have similar goals or needs. You both receive individual attention and appropriate progressions throughout.
Suitable for: Pairs with broadly similar goals. Not recommended if one of you has complex rehabilitation needs, injuries or is pregnant.
Online Pilates lessons
Once you have established the foundations of your practice in person, your Pilates lessons can continue online via video call. Online Pilates lessons are available to existing clients only. I already know your body and your movement patterns, which is what makes distance sessions effective.
Suitable for: Existing clients only.
Teacher training for Pilates professionals
I work with qualified Pilates teachers who want to develop their practice, refine their technique, or develop their teaching skills. If you are a teacher interested in working with me, please get in touch.
Your trial session: what to expect
Your first session is a free 40-minute trial, so you can experience the basics before making any commitment.
1. It starts with a conversation. I’ll ask about your goals, your history, any injuries or areas of concern, and what you are hoping to get from Pilates.
2. Then comes a movement assessment. I’ll observe how your body moves, including your posture, alignment, and range of movement.
3. You then get a taste of Pilates. I’ll introduce you to the fundamental principles, including breathing, alignment and core engagement.
4. And practice some basic exercises. I’ll guide you through a small number of exercises suited to where you are right now.
You’ll leave with a clear sense of what Pilates is, how it works, and what your practice will focus on.
Pilates for your body, whatever your starting point
Everybody can benefit from Pilates, and programmes at ND Pilates are designed around your specific situation,
not generic classes.
These are the specialist areas I work with most often.
Injury prevention
When the body is out of balance, or muscles are engaged in the wrong way, injuries can happen. Pilates helps you understand your own body’s movements and builds the deep stabilising strength, postural awareness, and movement control that protect joints and muscles from the strains and imbalances that lead to injury over time.
Recovery from injury or surgery
Chronic back pain, post-surgical recovery, joint issues — these are some of the most common issues that can be overcome with consistent Pilates practice. Working carefully within your limits and building strength where you need it most, Pilates can be one of the most effective tools for long-term recovery and pain management.
Relaxation and de-stressing
“Above all, learn how to breathe correctly.” That was Joseph Pilates’ view, and breath is the foundation of the Pilates method. Lessons integrate conscious breathwork throughout, helping to reduce tension, calm the nervous system, and build the kind of focused presence that carries into daily life.
Feeling better in your body
You don't need a specific condition or goal to benefit from Pilates. If you want to improve your posture, tone your muscles, develop a greater mind-body connection, improve your concentration and your coordination, or simply learn to move more flexibly, then ND Pilates is for you.
Pre- and postnatal support
Pilates is one of the safest and most effective forms of exercise during pregnancy and after birth, when your body is going through profound changes. I offer thoughtful, safe Pilates support at every stage: building core stability and pelvic floor strength during pregnancy, and helping new mums rebuild confidence and strength at their own pace after birth.
Managing menopause
Gynaecologists and women’s health specialists recommend Pilates for menopause and perimenopause. Hormonal shifts of this life stage affect bone density, muscle mass, joint mobility, and energy levels. Practised consistently and correctly, Pilates lessons at ND Pilates can help manage these changes, maintain strength, and support your overall wellbeing.
Enhancing athletic performance
David Beckham, Harry Kane, Serena Williams, the Swiss Skiing Team - they all include Pilates in their training and recovery regimes. I work with athletes and sports practitioners to strengthen the stabilising muscles that other training can miss, correct movement imbalances before they become injuries, and build the body awareness that sharpens every aspect of sports performance.
Smoothing the ageing process
Joseph Pilates said: “If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old; if it is completely flexible at 60, you are young.”
Staying flexible, strong, and independent is something worth investing in. Lessons for older clients focus on balance, bone density, postural strength, and the kind of functional movement that keeps everyday life feeling easy and confident.

Your questions, answered
Do you offer Pilates classes online?
1
Yes. ND Pilates offers online classes via video call to clients who have already worked with me in person.
What's the difference between a 1:1 and a 1:2 lesson? Which is right for me?
2
Private – or one-to-one classes – at ND Pilates are the most focused, most personalised way to work and are suitable for everyone. Semi-private – or one-to-two classes – may suit your budget and schedule better. They give you the chance to train alongside a trusted friend or partner and are suitable for pairs with similar goals and fitness levels. If you need specialist support for back pain, pregnancy or rehabilitation, one-to-one classes are the way to go.
I'm not sure whether Pilates is right for me. What should I do?
3
ND Pilates offers a free trial sessionso you can see whether it’s right for you. During the session, we’ll discuss what you need and how a tailored Pilates programme can help you. And don’t worry, there’s no obligation to book any more classes.
I have an injury / I'm recovering from surgery. Can I still do Pilates?
4
Yes. Private Pilates classes at ND Pilatesoffer a safe and structured way to rebuild strength and stability after an injury or as part of your post-operative care. As with any training programme, you should always check with your medical team first.
I'm pregnant. Is Pilates safe and when can I start?
5
Yes. The core-strengthening exercises help alleviate back pain, improve the condition of your pelvic floor muscles, and help close diastasis recti in a completely safe and supported way. That’s why Pilates is recommended by gynaecologists, obstetricians, midwives and doulas around the world.
Pilates is generally considered safe from the second trimester (around 13-16 weeks). But every pregnancy is different, so you should always get your doctor’s advice before starting any exercise or training program when pregnant. I always work within your doctor’s guidelines.
How often should I do Pilates to get the benefits?
6
As often as you can! Even five minutes a day helps build strength, stability and flexibility. The more you do, the quicker you’ll get the results you’re looking for.
What payment methods do you accept? Do you offer packages or do I pay per session?
7
ND Pilates accepts payment by bank transfer, cash or Twint. We cannot accept card payments at the moment. You can pay for individual lessons or get a discount by buying a pack of 10 or 20 lessons

8
The cost of Private Pilates lessons in Zurich is similar to that of other types of personal training - between CHF 125 and CHF 160 per hour. ND Pilates offers single lessons as well as packages of 10 or 20 lessons which have a lower hourly cost.
